Job Title

Manual Ethical Hacker (Corporate Title: Up to Vice President)

Location

Central Park, Leopardstown, Dublin and Chester (Ireland)

Role Summary

As an Ethical Hacker you will play a vital role in the Cybersecurity Assurance Program, safeguarding Bank of America’s applications from potential threats. You will conduct penetration tests, evaluate web, mobile, and web‑service applications, and collaborate with the team to strengthen defenses.

Responsibilities
  • Understand application requirements and usage.
  • Test applications using a variety of tools to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor existing and proposed security standards and setting groups.
  • Conduct meetings to communicate findings, implications and realistic remediation timelines.
  • Provide technical support throughout risk assessments and implementation of security procedures and products.
  • Act as an SME, offering guidance and knowledge to reduce vulnerabilities during app development.
  • Share knowledge through training sessions for technical and non‑technical colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Proven professional experience in Ethical Hacking or Cyber Security.
  • Expert knowledge in at least three of: information security, security engineering, application architecture, authentication and security protocols, session management, applied cryptography, communication protocols, mobile frameworks, single sign‑on technologies, exploit automation platforms, RESTful web services.
  • Ability to manually identify and reproduce findings, develop PoCs, and triage incidents.
  • Experience conducting web application ethical hacking assessments and manually simulating SQL injection or cross‑site scripting attacks.
  • Knowledge of network and web protocols (e.g., UNIX/Linux, TCP/IP, cookies).
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Invicti, Burp, SQL Map) and penetration testing techniques.
  • Solid programming/debugging skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
