Job summary

Donegalchildcare is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Service Manager to lead our community-run ECCE playschool, delivering high-quality early childhood education in a warm, inclusive, child-centred setting.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in early years, strong communication and organisational skills, and a solid knowledge of Tusla regulations, Aistear, Síolta, Children First and ECCE funding requirements.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Early Years Service Manager to lead our community-run ECCE-only playschool.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early years professional who is passionate about providing high-quality early childhood education and leading a committed team in a warm, inclusive, and child-centred environment.

Qualifications Required

• Minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent recognised qualification).

Experience Required

• Experience working in an early years setting plus 2 years in a leadership/management role.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Strong knowledge of Tusla regulations, Aistear, Síolta, Children First, ECCE Programme and core funding.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the voluntary management committee.
• Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting.

Further Information

• QQI Level 8 qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline.
• Previous management or supervisory experience in an early years setting.
• Experience with quality assurance, inspections, and compliance.
• First Aid Response certification.
