Job summary

Donegalchildcare in Ireland invites applications for an experienced Early Years Service Manager to lead our ECCE‑only playschool on Chapel Road, St Johnston. You will guide a supportive team in delivering high‑quality, child‑centred education within a community setting.

Key responsibilities include staff leadership, ensuring compliance with Tusla, Síolta, Aistear and ECCE requirements, and fostering strong ties with families.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Experience leading in an early years setting with governance experience.
• Knowledge of Tusla regulations, Aistear, Síolta and ECCE Programme.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape a high-quality ECCE service within a community setting.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and performance development for staff.
• Collaborate with parents and the voluntary management committee.

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Early Years Service Manager to lead our community‑run ECCE‑only playschool.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early years professional who is passionate about providing high‑quality early childhood education and leading a committed team in a warm, inclusive, and child‑centred environment.

Qualifications Required

• Minimum QQI Level 7 qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent recognised qualification).

Experience Required

• Experience working in an early years setting plus 2 years in a leadership/management role.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Strong knowledge of Tusla regulations, Aistear, Síolta, Children First, ECCE Programme and core funding.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the voluntary management committee.
• Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting.

Further Information

• QQI Level 8 qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline.
• Previous management or supervisory experience in an early years setting.
• Experience with quality assurance, inspections, and compliance.
• First Aid Response certification.
