Job summary

Barden is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join the Cork finance team. You will own management accounting activities across the group, supporting forecasting, reporting and financial controls in a fast-growing, high-growth environment.

You will report into senior finance leadership, collaborate across teams, and contribute to process improvements while ensuring accurate monthly closes and timely statutory reporting.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant with ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
  • Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting ability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear communication skills with stakeholders and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts across the Group.
  • Manage month-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Produce management and statutory accounts and present financial information to senior leadership.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Manage treasury activities and cash flow reporting.
  • Oversee statutory compliance, including VAT returns and corporation tax requirements.
  • Support wider finance operations and contribute to process improvements and ad hoc projects.

As the business continues to grow across international markets, we're looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team in Cork and play a key role in supporting the financial management and reporting of their expanding group of companies.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership of management accounting, forecasting, reporting, and financial controls across the group.

Key Responsibilities

You are a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys contributing to a growing business.

Essential Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a small team
Desirable
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting systems
  • Experience working in a scaling or high-growth business environment
