Job summary

Bausch + Lomb in Waterford, Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Technician focused on site Injection Moulding Equipment. The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and project work, with participation in process development, validations, and ensuring GMP compliance.

Responsibilities include developing maintenance procedures with process engineers, following SOPs, documenting activities, and maintaining clean, compliant equipment and facilities. PLC and pneumatics knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Recognised MAMF qualification is essential.
• Experience with injection moulding is advantageous.
• Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of PLC and pneumatics systems.
• Strong electro-mechanical background and knowledge of automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and project activities.
• Develop Maintenance Procedures in conjunction with the process engineer or manager.
• Comply with procedures as defined by plant SOPs.
• Carry out project work and participate in equipment/facility validations.
• Contribute to development of engineering systems through continuous improvement.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and tidy manner and document activities.
