Job summary

Boston Scientific are seeking a Maintenance Technician S2 to join our Clonmel site on a permanent basis. The role involves set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of moulding equipment, automation and associated systems within a regulated medical device environment.

The position requires an apprenticeship or NFQ Level 6, with experience in maintenance of electrical/mechanical systems and familiarity with SAP CMMS.

Qualifications

• Completion of Mechanical/Electrical/Multiskilled Apprenticeship or NFQ Level 6.
• Experience within Medical Devices or a similar industry is an advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic drawings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance & Calibrations.
• Continuous improvement of mechanical/electrical systems to maximise availability and reliability in a regulated Medical Device facility.
• Update and maintain maintenance records.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting on automated controls, electrical equipment and mechanical systems.
• Participate in cross-skilling and training.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician S2on apermanentbasisto join our team in our Clonmel site. The shift for this position is 2 cycle shift Days & Evenings.

Job Purpose:

We are recruiting an Injection Moulding Technician to support the manufacture of high-precision components using FANUC and Engel machines. This will include Mould set-up, processing, maintenance of Moulds and peripheral equipment. You will set up, run, and troubleshoot processes across both thermoplastic polymer and silicone materials, ensuring output meets strict quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventative Maintenance & Calibrations.
• Continuous improvement of all types of mechanical and electrical systems, to achieve maximum availability and equipment reliability, in a regulated Medical Device facility.
• Update and maintain all maintenance records in an organised and efficient manner.
• Provision of technical support and troubleshooting on automated controls, electrical equipment and mechanical systems.
• Participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
• Work in compliance with the site Safe Systems of Work including permitting, LOTO, isolations and safety documentation review.
• Work Collaboratively with Operations, Quality, EHS and other departments.
• Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time

Requirements:

• Completion of Mechanical/Electrical/Multiskilled Apprenticeship or NFQ Level 6 qualification.
• Experience within Medical Devices or a similar industry is an advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic drawings would be an advantage.
• Experience of working on & maintaining Electrical and Mechanical equipment within a regulated industry.
• Experience with SAP based Computerised Maintenance Management System and electronic Maintenance Request Systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong planning and organisational ability.
• Automation expereince would be an advantage.
