Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain, sharpen, recondition, tension and repair bandsaws, circular saws and cutting tooling.
• Operate CNC and manual grinding equipment.
• Monitor cut quality and machine performance; assist with planned maintenance and breakdown responses.

Job Description

Aureol Global Connections is hiring for Maintenance Technician on behalf of Woodfab Timber Limited Tinnakilly Upper, Aughrim, Co. Wicklow, Ireland Y14 H593. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical maintenance, saw doctoring, saw fitting, toolmaking, or a related trade within a sawmill, timber processing, or manufacturing environment. Working as a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, sharpening, reconditioning, tensioning, and repair of bandsaws, circular saws, and associated cutting tooling to support efficient production. Duties include operating CNC and manual grinding equipment, carrying out saw alignment and machine set-up, replacing guide blocks and lubrication components, responding to breakdowns, and assisting with planned maintenance activities. You will also monitor cut quality and machine performance while ensuring compliance with all safety and maintenance procedures. This is a full-time role of 39 hours per week with an annual salary range of €36,605-€40,000.
