Job summary

WGNSTAR, An ABM Company, in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, Ireland, seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform daily maintenance in a semiconductor cleanroom while supporting the Customer in key areas through fault finding and diagnosis throughout the manufacturing process.

The role requires a technical qualification with at least 2 years' experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, plus ability to work in a 12-hour shift cycle (day and night) and wear PPE in a controlled cleanroom.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification NFQ Level 6 or higher or industrial equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as equipment maintenance technician in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools and electrical meters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a controlled cleanroom environment with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled preventative and unscheduled corrective maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Work on electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies and systems.
• Accurate reporting of root cause analysis, problem solving, data logging and corrective actions.
• Report failure mechanisms while following work-based instructions and procedures.
• Maintain cleanroom and company protocols.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
• Perform quality checks in line with process specifications.
• Use MS Office and in-house computer system as required.

The Purpose of the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform daily maintenance tasks in a semiconductor cleanroom environment while supporting the Customer in key areas through fault finding and diagnosis principles throughout the manufacturing process. Your goal will be to adhere to facility standard operating procedures with a focus on safety and quality. Your success will contribute to the facilities' overall throughput while simultaneously developing your own skills in a coveted and highly technical industry.

Work Schedule

Compressed Work Week within a 4-shift cycle, 12-hour shifts (day & night including weekends)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Scheduled preventative and un-scheduled corrective maintenance of Semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• Work on electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies and systems
• Accurate reporting of root cause analysis, problem solving, data logging and corrective actions on failure mechanisms of equipment and systems
• Accurate reporting of failure mechanisms of equipment and systems whilst following detailed work-based instructions and procedures
• Maintaining cleanroom and company protocols
• Ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained
• Performing quality checks in line with process specifications
• Using MS Office and in-house computer system as required

Role Requirements

• A technical qualification (NFQ Level 6 or higher) or industrial equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an equipment maintenance technician performing scheduled installs, preventative maintenance, and repairs
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, electric meters in performing duties
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
• Ability to work in a controlled cleanroom environment, which will involve the wearing of a gown and relevant personal protective equipment
• 100% compliance with all safety and protocol specs and regulations

Physical Requirements

• Have strong physical stamina to have the ability to stand, stoop, walk and reach for the duration of a 12-hour shift (breaks excluded)
