Job summary

Moyvalley Meats in Broadford, Co. Kildare, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician for full-time work.

The successful candidate will perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshoot, repair and preventive maintenance on production machinery to minimise downtime.

Experience with conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics is preferred; strong problem solving and ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical/industrial maintenance.
• Experience with conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Role involves lifting and standing; manufacturing/food production environment preferred.

Job Description

Moyvalley Meats requires 1 experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician for full-time work at Tandragee, Broadford, Co. Kildare. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment to minimise downtime and ensure efficient and safe operations. Candidates should have proven experience in mechanical or industrial maintenance, with knowledge of conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other production equipment. The ability to diagnose mechanical faults, carry out repairs, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required, while experience working in a manufacturing or food production environment would be an advantage. Also; Physical role including lifting and standing. Further specific role details available on enquiry. Minimum annual remuneration: €41,600. Standard working week 40 hours.
