Job summary

Le Boat, part of the Travelopia group, invites applications for a Boat Maintenance Technician in Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland. You will prepare our boat yard for the season, receiving boats, performing winter and spring prep, and stocking the marine shop.

You will maintain fleets, follow manufacturer schedules, and gain hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, with training provided. On-call duties and regional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical studies or hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, water pumps, HVAC repair or general maintenance.
• Willing to learn and develop technical skills on the job.
• Ability to interpret specifications and installation instructions.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Valid driver's license; base in Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland.
• Fluency in English and full eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Maintain our fleet to the highest standards for customer satisfaction and reliability.
• Ensure boats are in impeccable condition for presentation.
• Follow manufacturer maintenance schedules.
• Gain hands-on experience in installing electrical and mechanical equipment, including small fiberglass repairs (training provided).
• Collaborate with the Head Tech & Base Manager to prioritize tasks.
• Travel to off-site locations for emergency repairs.
• Participate in hauling/launching, commissioning, de-commissioning, and gas dock operations as required.
• Take charge of mechanical maintenance/repairs on 36 and 45ft fiberglass boats, handling pumps, batteries, diesel engines, electrical, propane, and hydraulic connections.

Your Role: Boat Maintenance Technician
