Job summary

Abbott in Donegal Town is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to guide a team of operators on daily production activities, driving smart manufacturing practices and continuous improvement.

You will use data-driven insights to diagnose issues, coach team members, and ensure 6S and ISO-compliant records, while supporting a digitalised, high-performance manufacturing environment with a relocation package discussed at offer.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Engineering, Science, or Manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering.
• Familiarity with digital manufacturing systems, automation, and data analytics is a plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of operators and oversee day-to-day production activities.
• Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues using data-driven insights and digital tools.
• Maintain accurate records in line with SOPs and digital compliance systems.
• Recommend equipment and system improvements aligned with Industry 4.0 principles.
• Ensure training compliance through digital learning platforms and ISO standards.
• Drive CI initiatives using real-time data and analytics.
• Coach and mentor team members, conducting performance reviews with a focus on growth and digital skill development.
• Promote 6S standards and a safe, productive work environment enhanced by smart technologies.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies, leveraging digital reporting and monitoring systems.
