Job summary

Abbott in Donegal Town, Ireland, is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to guide a production team within the Diabetes Care division. You will drive smart manufacturing initiatives, oversee daily maintenance activities, and champion data-driven continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification or trade certificate in Engineering, Science, or Manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering.
• Familiarity with digital manufacturing systems, automation, and data analytics is a plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage teams.

• Maintain accurate records in line with SOPs and digital compliance systems.

• Coach and mentor team members, conducting performance reviews with a focus on growth and digital skill development.
• Promote 6S standards and a safe, productive work environment enhanced by smart technologies.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies, leveraging digital reporting and monitoring systems.

What You’ll Do
