Overall Purpose of the Job

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all equipment, machinery, and systems within the industrial facility. This position ensures that operations run efficiently, equipment is maintained at optimal performance, and downtime is minimized. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of maintenance technicians and be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a proactive maintenance program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Planning & Execution
  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive maintenance strategy for equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to optimize asset reliability and performance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety standards, company policies, and relevant legislation.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Manage, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians to ensure high levels of technical performance.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities based on the skills and experience of the team.
  • Provide performance feedback and conduct regular evaluations of staff performance.
  • Inventory & Spare Parts Management
  • Oversee the inventory of spare parts and tools to ensure availability and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to source necessary parts and services.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Track and report maintenance-related costs and find opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Lead the effort to identify opportunities for improvement in equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure analysis to address issues and improve equipment performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage innovative approaches to problem-solving.
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to OSHA and other safety regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for compliance audits.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with maintenance operations.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and downtime.
  • Provide regular reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and project progress to senior management.
  • Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certification in maintenance management or related fields (e.g., CMRP, CRL, etc.) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience leading a team of technicians and managing maintenance projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and systems.
  • Proficient in predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiar with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software and other relevant maintenance tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and practices in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
  • Working Conditions

  • Full-time position, with occasional overtime as required.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, physically demanding industrial environment.
  • Regular exposure to machinery, tools, and equipment.

    Monday to Thursday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday, from 8 AM to 3:30 PM
