Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is recruiting a Maintenance Fitter in Kildare for a growing FMCG company. You will maintain equipment, troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems in line with GMP, HACCP and safety standards.

Key duties include preventative maintenance program improvements, reducing downtime through root-cause analysis, PLC-controlled plant repairs, and logging work in the CMMS. 5+ years' experience and a fitting/mechatronics qualification required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a similar manufacturing maintenance role.
• Relevant qualification in fitting/mechatronics and knowledge of PLCs/SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems in GMP/HACCP/safety standards.
• Execute and suggest improvements to preventative maintenance programmes.
• Minimise downtime via root cause analysis.

About the Company

Our client is a growing FMCG company who are hiring a Maintenance Fitter to join their team in Kildare. This company has seen steady growth in recent years producing market leading products and would be a great opportunity for an experienced fitter to work in a highly regulated environment.

About the Position

• As Maintenance Fitter, your job will be to maintaining equipment and conducting electrical/mechanical troubleshooting in line with GMP, HACCP and safety standards.
• Executing and suggesting improvement to the site’s preventative maintenance programme.
• Minimising equipment downtime through efficient root cause analysis.
• Mechanical repairs to PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment involving pneumatic/hydraulic control systems.
• Ensuring work is logged appropriately on the company CMMS.
• Any other responsibilities as required.

Experience/Requirements

• For this Maintenance Fitter job you will have 5+ years’ experience in a similar job within a manufacturing setting.
• You will also have a relevant qualification in fitting/mechatronics and knowledge of PLCs/SCADA/etc.
