Job summary

Collins McNicholas Group is currently recruiting a Maintenance Electrician for field-based electrical maintenance, fault finding, servicing and technical support across customer sites in Ireland. The role suits qualified electricians seeking a field-based position with growth to senior level.

You will carry out maintenance, diagnose faults, and complete PPMs, with travel across ROI and NI and participation in an on-call rota. A company vehicle and industry training accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician / recognised electrical qualification.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or similar environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Willingness to travel across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
• Commitment to ongoing technical development.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, servicing, repairs, and fault finding on customer sites
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults across a range of equipment and systems
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Respond to breakdowns and provide effective technical solutions
• Identify root causes of electrical and equipment failures and implement lasting repairs
• Work alongside other trades and technical disciplines where required
• Complete accurate service documentation and maintenance reports
• Travel to multiple customer sites each day, typically around 5 calls depending on workload
• Participate in a 1 in 5 on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, workmanship, and customer service

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician for our client, a growing business operating across Ireland. This is a field-based role providing electrical maintenance, fault finding, servicing, and technical support across customer sites.

We are looking for a qualified electrician with strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding skills. Previous field service experience is not required. The role would suit an electrician looking to move into a field-based position, as well as those already working in maintenance environments.

We are hiring at mid-level and senior level, with scope to work independently and, at senior level, support and mentor others within the team.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working within food manufacturing or production environments
• HVAC or refrigeration equipment experience
• Experience working with motors, controls, sensors, pumps, or automated equipment
• Mechanical maintenance experience
• Basic plumbing knowledge
• Safe Pass / CSR or similar site certification
