Job summary

Manor Farm is seeking a dedicated Machine Minder to join the Night Shift in the Kill/Evis area, based in Ireland. The role focuses on safe operation, proactive maintenance, and continuous improvements to maximise uptime and product quality.

The night shift runs five nights per week, 00:00–08:00, ensuring continuous production. Ideal candidates have experience in FMCG or food production, familiarity with asset care, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Background in FMCG, food production, or live operations preferred.
• Experience in asset care or similar role.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production machinery and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate to Engineering when required.
• Carry out inspections, cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs, set-ups and changeovers.
• Change and maintain plucker fingers/units.
• Work closely with Operators, Team Leaders and Engineering to reduce downtime.
• Some cleaning duties will be required.

We currently have an opportunity for a Machine Minder to join the Night Shift team in the Kill/Evis section.

The Role

The Machine Minder is responsible for the day-to-day operation, care, and performance of production equipment within the Kill/Evis area by focusing on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement to maximise uptime, efficiency and product quality.

This is a night shift role working 5 nights per week from 00:00 - 08:00

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production machinery and perform preventative maintenance tasks.

• Monitor machine performance, troubleshooting equipment issues and escalating to Engineering when required.

• Carry out inspections, cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs, set-ups and changeovers.

• Change and maintain plucker fingers/units

• Work closely with Operators, Team Leaders and Engineering to reduce downtime.

• Some cleaning duties will be required

About You

• Background in FMCG, food production, or live operations preferred.

• Experience in asset care or similar role

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent.

• IT skills (MS Office).

• Fluent in English

• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills along with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Available to work nights from 12:00am - 08:00am.
