More than 25 years in business we continuously strive to grow and strengthen our team to the ultimate best in class.

Purpose of Role

Tritech Engineering is looking for an experienced and commercially driven M&E Estimator to join our dynamic and fast‑paced team. In this role, you will take ownership of the financial and contractual management of Key Works projects, overseeing all commercial aspects from initial estimating and negotiation through to final account and project completion.

You will work across a diverse portfolio of high‑profile projects, supporting clients such as Data Centre operators, the Office of Public Works, the Health Service Executive, and leading third‑level institutions. Collaborating closely with Mechanical and Electrical Project Managers responsible for technical delivery, you will ensure strong commercial performance across the full project lifecycle.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop accurate project estimates by identifying project requirements, scope, and specifications, including carrying out site visits to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project.
  • Take ownership of tender conversion, ensuring opportunities are commercially assessed, competitively priced and successfully secured.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring favourable terms and compliance with company standards.
  • Draft, review, and manage all contractual documents related to Key Works projects.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and potential risks.
  • Identify and assess commercial risks in projects and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, managing any disputes or claims that arise.
  • Work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Project Managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Engage with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to build strong relationships and ensure project success.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of project interim claims and final accounts.
Role Requirements
  • Degree (Level 7 or higher) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline; or a Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification with significant commercial, estimating or project management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial, estimating, quantity surveying or project management role within the construction or engineering industry, preferably within the M&E contracting sector.
  • Proven track record in tender preparation, project conversion, commercial management and successful delivery of projects.
  • Strong experience managing commercial aspects of projects, including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, valuations, final accounts and contract administration.
  • Background in contracting, with hands‑on experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical disciplines desirable.
  • Strong contractual knowledge and experience negotiating with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • High level of ownership, accountability and personal responsibility.
  • Proficient in project management and commercial software systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
