• Familiarity with BS 7671, I.S. 1010, UL 508A, UL 1558
• Proficiency in designing the low-voltage distribution system, switchboards (MDB / SDB) and DC systems
• Experience with CAD design software AutoCAD
• Experience with electrical design software Eplan and Etap
• Proficiency with electrical design software including Siemens SIMARIS, Schneider EcoStruxure, ABB e-Design
• Strong analytical, problem solving, constructive questioning and decision-making ability

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with clients, analyze design documentation, and identify scope gaps
• Develop electrical plans and specifications
• Develop project scope, budget, and technical submittals
• Analyze customer's Single Line Diagram (SLD), Specification, BOM, Site Layout, Purchase Order, and other documents
• Perform electrical calculations including load, short circuit, arc flash, busbar sizing, and separation
• Prepare discrimination study reports
• Determine cross-sectional area of conductors as per IEC 60364
• Create cable schedules and specifications
• Design cable routes, trench, and ladder layouts
• Design lighting, communication, fire alarm, and security systems
• Prepare and modify equipment specifications
• Review switchboard configurations
• Prepare general arrangement drawings, single line diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs
• Generate material take-off lists and requisitions
• Create detailed drawings based on IEC, UL, and CSA standards
• Manage submittals, procurement, and equipment receipt verification
• Coordinate with purchasing, construction, and commissioning teams
• Develop procedures and standards for system operation and maintenance
• Attend project meetings and monitor progress
• Review electrical installations for constructibility and maintenance access
• Liaise with design team and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legislative requirements
• Create tender, design, construction, and as-built drawings
• Manage technical assessments and change communications
• Liaise with safety personnel and ensure ISO compliance
