Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Cleaning Operative for Dublin Airport, full time. You will maintain high cleanliness standards across terminals, offices and staff areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for passengers and colleagues.

The role is physically demanding with flexible shifts including nights, weekends and public holidays. Applicants must meet passport validity, English level, Garda Vetting and Aviation Security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar cleaning role.
• Reliable, punctual and dependable.
• Capable of working in a physically demanding environment.
• Willing to work flexible rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties across airport locations.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean floors.
• Clean and disinfect touchpoints and surfaces.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely.
• Replenish consumables such as soap and paper towels.
• Report maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Use cleaning chemicals following safety procedures.
• Ensure work meets Sodexo quality standards.
• Deliver courteous customer service to passengers and colleagues.
• Follow airport security procedures and site regulations.
• Work well in a team and also independently.

Cleaning Operative

Dublin Airport - Full time

Please note:Due to airport security requirements, applicants must hold a valid passport with at least 6 months' validity remaining, have a minimum B2 level of English, and be able to successfully complete Garda Vetting and Aviation Security Clearance. Employment is conditional upon meeting all of these requirements.

As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout Dublin Airport.Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help ensure passengers, visitors and staff enjoy a clean, safe and welcoming environment at all times.This is a physically active role in a fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and pride in your work are essential.

What you'll do:

• Carry out cleaning duties across a variety of airport locations, including terminals, public areas, offices, washrooms, staff facilities and other designated areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean floors using appropriate equipment.
• Clean and disinfect touchpoints, surfaces and communal areas.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely in accordance with procedures.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet paper and paper towels.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards or damaged equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, following all Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Ensure all work is completed to Sodexo's quality standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service by assisting passengers and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner.
• Follow airport security procedures and comply with all site regulations.
• Work effectively as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
