Job summary

Electricity Supply Board is seeking an energetic IT Professional to join its Linux Systems Engineering team within IT Service Delivery. The role focuses on managing the Red Hat Enterprise Linux server infrastructure across on-prem and virtual environments, with SAP and business applications hosted on RHEL.

You will deploy, patch, automate and monitor RHEL systems, using Satellite, Ansible Automation Platform and Bash scripting, while collaborating with stakeholders to support cybersecurity and

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' hands-on experience administering enterprise RHEL environments.
• Degree in Computing/IT or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Satellite, Ansible, Bash and automation.
• Strong cybersecurity practices in Linux.
• Experience hosting SAP HANA and related components.
• Experience with Azure cloud.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain and monitor Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems to ensure high availability.
• Troubleshoot production issues independently and escalate as needed.
• Administer Satellite and Ansible for patching and lifecycle management.
• Implement automation using Bash and Ansible to improve efficiency.
• Apply cybersecurity best practices including patching and system hardening.
• Support SAP and database environments (SAP HANA, DB2, MaxDB, Oracle) on RHEL.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with stakeholders for audits and cross-team collaboration.
