Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a specialist for a fixed-term contract in Ireland, focusing on deep Linux expertise and Ansible automation. You’ll optimize Linux internals, manage hardening, and design scalable environments while building modular Ansible playbooks and reusable roles.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of hands-on Linux experience, familiarity with YAML/Jinja2, and strong problem-solving skills. Hybrid work setup in Ireland is offered for this fixed-term engagement.

Role Overview

1. Core Linux Expertise (10+ years expected)

Look for strong, hands‑on capability in:

• Deep understanding of Linux internals (process management, memory, storage, kernel concepts).
• Expertise in system configuration & hardening across RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu/SUSE.
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience managing filesystems, LVM, RAID, networking, boot loaders.
• Capability to design and manage secure, scalable Linux environments.

Ansible Expertise (5+ years expected)

Candidate should be strong in:

• Writing modular, reusable playbooks and role-based structures.
• Deep understanding of YAML, Jinja2 templating, and inventory management.
• Creating custom Ansible modules, filters, or plugins (optional but strong plus).
