Job summary

LPI Group Europe is seeking a Lightning Protection Technician to support global projects, installing lightning protection and earthing systems on data centres and tall structures across sectors. Up to 75% travel internationally will be required.

Reporting to the project manager and site supervisor, you will complete risk assessments, prepare job sheets, drawings and material schedules, and ensure safe, compliant delivery while representing the company professionally on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working within construction industry or similar environment.
• Electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience on commercial and industrial projects.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous.

• IPAF training

Responsibilities

• Install lightning protection and earthing systems on Data Centres and variety of tall structures. This will involve working to pre-designed schemes including drawings, a risk assessment and method statement
• Undertake upgrades to existing lightning protection systems to specified instructions provided
• Accurately complete Company paperwork including point of work risk assessment, job sheets, marked up drawings, material schedules and timesheets and ensure this is returned to the office-based team
• Provide onsite communications and advice to either the client or managers of a project, ensuring the Company is professionally represented at all times
• Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards at all times, ensuring all work is completed in a safe and compliant manner

Lightning Protection Technician - Europe

About the role

We are seeking Lightning Protection Technician’s to support operations on global projects. Reporting to the project manager & site supervisor the Lightning Protection Technician is responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination and control of LPI projects. The purpose of the role is to install lightning protection and earthing systems on a variety of structures across all forms of private, public, industrial, commercial & Data Centre sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success.

This role requires international travel for up to 75% of working time to support overseas project delivery.
