Job summary

A local educational institution in Kilkenny is seeking part-time Lifeguard/WSI Instructors for summer employment. Certified candidates are preferred, though training is available. Lifeguard/WSI Instructors – Part-Time

Litchfield Public Schools is currently accepting applications for Lifeguard/WSI Instructors. Lifeguard and WSI certification is required.

Qualifications

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard and/or WSI, CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus or willingness to invest and attend training
• Able to sit/stand for up to 4 hours
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Ability to work a minimum of 2 shifts (approximately 10 hours) per week in the summer.

Responsibilities

• Provide CPR/AED to infants, children, adults, first aid techniques and water rescue techniques as needed
• Acts in emergency situations and provides rescue and first aid assistance up to his or her training level until medical personnel arrive.
• Responsible for daily maintenance in and around the pool facility as well as locker rooms
• Enforce pool rules and regulations on a consistent basis to ensure safety

Fills out reports for incidents or other records for reference.

Hourly rate is dependent on position.
