Job summary

John Sisk & Son Ltd in Cork is seeking a Site Manager to lead our Life Science project. You will manage day-to-day site operations, supervise multi-level site teams, and ensure delivery on programme, schedule and budget while upholding HSE standards.

The role requires extensive on-site leadership, strong knowledge of BIM strategy and construction technology, and a focus on health, safety and quality. A competitive package and opportunities for development are on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience managing medium to large-scale construction sites.
• Proven ability to lead multi-level site teams.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Ability to plan and coordinate on-site activities to meet programme and budget.
• Proactive risk identification and escalation to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities on site to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
• Supervise Site Agents, General Site Supervisors and Section Site Supervisors, providing leadership and direction on all operational matters
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality standards in line with company procedures
• Plan and coordinate the sequence of activities on site, liaising with the Operations Manager and Senior Site Manager to maintain programme objectives
• Monitor progress and performance of sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contract requirements and project standards
• Maintain comprehensive site records including Temporary Works Registers, daily diaries, quality documentation and HSEQS logs
• Identify operational risks and elevate as required to Operations Manager or Senior Site Manager
• Lead site briefings, toolbox talks and coordination meetings to communicate priorities, tasks and safety requirements
• Assist in cost control by supporting the site and project teams in efficient use of resources and materials
• Mentor and develop junior site staff to build capability and maintain a high-performance culture
