SETU is seeking a Library Assistant Grade IV. The successful candidate will undertake key duties in the Library. As a member of the library rostering team, the post holder will be required to work evenings and weekends to provide cover during library opening hours. The successful candidate may be assigned to any of a very wide range of areas or activities carried out in a University Library in any of its campuses. The job will involve regular contact with students, staff, the public and organisations and individuals at all levels where discretion, tact, courtesy and judgement will have to be constantly exercised. All jobs in the Library demand a good knowledge and skill in the use of ICT and appointees will be expected to use new techniques and technologies as they arise. SETU will provide the necessary training as appropriate.
Hours of Work: The appointee will be required to work 35 hours per week including nights and weekends. The successful candidate will have to be available to work evenings and Saturdays.
