Job summary

Centrica plc is seeking a Legal Counsel - Infrastructure & Projects based in Dublin. The role supports major infrastructure and energy projects across Ireland and the UK, collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage risk and deliver strategic outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 1–4 years PQE, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel to Reading and Dublin is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or barrister eligible to practise in Ireland.
• 1–4 years PQE in private practice or industry welcomed.
• Experience in infrastructure, construction, energy or major projects.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and commercial advisory skills.
• Able to manage stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to travel to Ireland/UK offices; AI use awareness welcome.

Responsibilities

• Advising on development, delivery and operation of major infrastructure and energy projects.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating project-related documentation.
• Supporting procurement, governance, regulatory, planning and environmental workstreams.
• Advising on land rights, property, infrastructure rights and disputes.
• Supporting investment approvals, board papers and strategic decisions.
• Managing external legal advisers and legal spend effectively.
• Monitoring regulatory developments and building team capability.
• Developing junior legal colleagues with infrastructure and construction expertise.
