Responsibilities

• Commercial Contracts – Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
• General Legal Advisory – Provide practical legal advice across a diverse range of matters affecting the global business.
• Transactional Matters – Support commercial and corporate transactions and strategic projects.
• Contentious Matters – Assist with disputes, litigation and other contentious matters where required.
• Commercial Advice – Provide commercially focused advice balancing legal risk with business objectives.
• Legal & Regulatory – Advise on regulatory matters relevant to the business.
• Business Partnering – Collaborate with various teams across the organisation.
• Stakeholder Management – Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including C‑Suite.
• AI & Legal Technology – Support the use of AI and technology to improve efficiency.
• Group Projects – Support GC and wider legal team on strategic matters.

The business operates with a lean and relatively flat structure, giving the legal team significant exposure across the organisation. As a result, lawyers work on a broad range of matters and engage with stakeholders at all levels, from day-to-day operational teams through to C‑Suite leadership.

• Qualified solicitor with approximately 1-5 years’ PQE
• Training and experience gained within a strong commercial legal environment
• Broad legal experience rather than an exclusively niche or specialised background
• Experience across transactional, commercial and/or contentious matters
• Litigation or disputes experience alongside transactional exposure would be particularly beneficial
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to demonstrate how you can add value to the wider business
• Genuine interest in technology, FinTech and the evolving use of AI within legal functions
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work directly with senior leadership
• Ambitious and keen to progress, while remaining comfortable handling routine and day-to-day legal work where required

Role and Reporting Lines

Reporting directly to the General Counsel as part of a lean and experienced legal team, you will have considerable autonomy and broad exposure across the global business. Responsibilities will include:

• Commercial Contracts - Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements
• General Legal Advisory - Provide practical legal advice across a diverse range of matters affecting the global business
• Transactional Matters - Support commercial and corporate transactions and wider strategic projects
• Contentious Matters - Assist with disputes, litigation and other contentious matters where required
• Commercial Advice - Provide commercially focused advice that appropriately balances legal risk with the objectives of the business
• Legal & Regulatory - Advise on relevant legal, regulatory and compliance matters
• Business Partnering - Work closely with commercial, finance, product, operations and other teams across the organisation
• Stakeholder Management - Develop strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business, including C‑Suite leadership
• AI & Legal Technology - Support the use of AI and technology within the legal function to improve efficiency and delivery
• Group Projects - Support the General Counsel and wider legal team on strategic and ad hoc matters across the global business
