Job summary

University College Cork invites applications for a permanent Lecturer role in Integrated Children’s and General Nursing. The appointee will teach, assess and develop programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and will engage in relevant research.

The candidate must hold Children’s and General Nursing registration (or be eligible), possess a Master’s degree and PhD/Doctorate, and have substantial paediatric nursing experience. Garda vetting may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be registered or eligible to register in Children’s and General Nursing with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
• Academic qualification to Master’s level and PhD/Doctorate.
• Significant children/paediatric nursing experience.
• Garda vetting or international police clearance may form part of the selection process.

Responsibilities

• Teach, assess and contribute to programme development and administration at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Engage in relevant research.
• Contribute to governance and departmental activities as required.
