As the Contrast Media Operations LEAN Leader, you will be part of a global team and be responsible for both sustaining & driving the LEAN transformation roadmap across the CM fill & finish manufacturing sites in Cork, Shanghai and Oslo. This roadmap will support both the growth and exponential strategic development of the CM Value Stream and its capacity.

Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) is a world leader in producing imaging agents that enhance the quality of diagnostic images used to diagnose and monitor diseases.

Reporting to the ISC LEAN & Digital Director, this role will partner with the Contrast Media Operations SVP and Leadership Team. Your focus will be on transforming the Value Stream into a model of LEAN excellence. This role is vital for driving the cultural change necessary to evolve GEHC PDx into a truly LEAN organisation. Hands-on experience in applying Lean principles and driving continuous improvement will be essential to your success in this critical leadership position.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for partnering with site and business leaders to define the key streams that will have the greatest impact on the business and the customer.
  • Serve as a change agent by influencing, communicating, and institutionalizing a culture of simplification and standardization.
  • Coach Lean Manufacturing principles and behaviours to our plant leadership teams in the use of Lean tools and the simplification methodology to drive significant business impact & to lead the coaching culture.
  • Develop Lean capabilities by training and coaching key team members to build Lean muscle within the organisation.
  • Enhance the Operating system through the cultivation of our core 4 tools (Daily Management, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and Action plans).
  • Support across all levels of the Lean Management System from ‘shop floor’ to executive level.
  • Foster communication with the ‘shop floor’ to understand their challenges, generate ideas, and support the Lean Management System at all levels.
  • Ensure proper training and coaching for effective daily management and a true “embrace the red” culture.
  • Development and deployment of a Kaizen funnel required to achieve objectives for the year and/or as part of a multi-year program.
  • Responsible for driving Lean Maturity levels across the Cork site as per the GE HC Lean Framework.
Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any technical or analytical domain with a preference for Supply Chain Manufacturing related degrees (Business, Economics, Engineering).
  • Experience leading large Lean transformational rollouts within complex systems, matrix organisations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (cGMP).
  • Proven success in leading significant business process improvement.
  • LEAN/Six Sigma trained with the ability to apply tools and process rigor.
  • Proven successful application of Lean tools: 80/20, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, FMEA, Problem Solving, Kanban, Visual Daily Management, Policy Deployment – GEMBA Walks.

  • Strong communication ability across all levels of the business and between all functions with the ability to grow cross-functional relationships and to influence outside of immediate sphere of control.
  • Tenacity/Passion/Determination – driven to chase the end goal and to drive the site performance forwards.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
