Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Ireland is seeking a highly motivated Water Management professional to lead WFD compliance assessments across diverse projects in Ireland.

You will work with environmental scientists, ecologists, hydromorphologists and engineers, drive evidence-based solutions, and mentor junior staff in a flexible hybrid setup.

This role offers opportunities for collaboration across national and international networks, with a strong commitment to wellbeing and sustainability.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant discipline with a post-graduate qualification.
• Experience leading WFD compliance assessments across multiple projects.
• Chartered status or working towards it.
• Proven ability to present findings clearly in reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the undertaking of Water Framework Directive compliance assessments.
• Lead technical WFD chapters for EIARs.
• Support work-winning activities to secure WFD-focused work.
• Collaborate with AtkinsRéalis’ specialists to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior staff and work flexibly in a commercial environment.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
