Job summary

Accenture Utilities in Dublin/Cork is seeking a Management Consultant to drive advisory and transformation engagements for Ireland’s energy and utilities organisations. You’ll diagnose challenges, craft practical recommendations, and support implementation with cross-functional teams.

You will help clients decarbonise, invest in resilient infrastructure, and deliver sustainable, affordable services while developing teams and contributing to thought leadership in the utilities space.

Qualifications

• Relevant undergraduate/master’s degree in a business, engineering, technical or economic field.
• 4-7 years of relevant utility proven experience in a role helping to deliver climate action targets or utilities sector, or 3-5 years in a consulting role, with experience in large-scale transformation programmes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment across a wide variety of projects and roles to deliver for our clients.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Previous experience working within the Utilities (electricity, gas, water) sector would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of strategic initiatives for utilities clients, helping to meet their decarbonisation, resilience and sustainability objectives.
• Support the delivery of high-quality consulting engagements and transformation programmes across the utilities sector.
• Contribute to and collaborate within multi-functional project teams, coordinating workstream activities across the engagement lifecycle.
• Apply functional and technical knowledge to support the design and implementation of solutions for utilities clients.
• Support resource planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities within the context of the engagement or programme
• Contribute to integrated project and programme planning, ensuring coherent workstream coordination across engagements.
• Identify and escalat risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, supporting their effective management throughout the engagement.
• Prepare and present clear, structured analysis, and insights for client and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with client teams, subject matter experts, and colleagues across business, technology, and operations functions to ensure alignment on goals and outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of their challenges to ensure our recommendations and solutions address their needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, bringing fresh thinking to enhance the efficiency, quality, and impact of client engagements.
• Continuously develop and maintain deep expertise across the utilities sector to provide informed guidance to clients and contribute to Accenture’s utilities thought leadership.
• Support business development activities including solution scoping, proposal development, and client presentations to help grow Accenture's utilities practice.
