Job summary

OpenText in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of our cloud-hosted applications and database platforms. You will own the Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, drive resiliency and high availability, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust services.

You will leverage AWS, automation, and modern CI/CD pipelines to optimize platform stability, manage migrations, and implement infrastructure

Qualifications

• 7-9 years of experience supporting cloud applications, platforms, and enterprise database environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise administering Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, including backup and recovery, replication, performance tuning, upgrades, and high-availability configurations.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, including RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Strong automation and scripting skills using Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, GitLab, or Concourse.
• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows administration, cloud infrastructure, security principles, and networking concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, scalability, security, and performance of cloud-hosted apps and DB platforms.
• Lead database resiliency, disaster recovery, migration, and high-availability initiatives.
• Hands-on work with cloud technologies, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure modernization.
• Collaborate with Development, Professional Services, and Client Support teams to improve platform stability.
• Support on-call rotations and production maintenance activities.
