Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Workforce Experience Technology to drive secure, scalable software solutions within an agile team. You will lead AI-assisted development practices, design AWS infrastructure for HR Talent Management, and collaborate with product and front-end teams to deliver end-to-end capabilities.

The role emphasizes secure coding, architectural evaluation, and continuous delivery while advancing engineering practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, Terraform).
• Hands-on experience deploying AWS services and developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within cloud/AI/machine learning domains.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services IT systems.
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted software development tools with secure adoption practices.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches to solve complex problems.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, with secure standards
• Apply knowledge of SDLC tools to improve value realized by automation
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues for stability
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and applicability
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote new technologies
• Design and develop AWS infrastructure solutions to support HR Talent Management applications
• Develop data models and databases for HR Talent Management
• Partner with product and front-end teams to review requirements and solutions
• Participate in infrastructure resiliency and optimization events
