Job summary

KKR is launching a Technology & Engineering Centre of Excellence in Dublin. We’re seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to help build cloud-native platforms, microservices on Kubernetes, with React on the frontend and Python on the backend.

You’ll contribute to investment tech, portfolio management, and data-driven solutions in a fast-paced financial technology environment, working with a global, collaborative team on critical initiatives.

This new hub will play a central role in developing proprietary, cloud-native platforms that drive innovation and deliver measurable impact across our global operations. Areas of focus include investment technology, portfolio construction and management, liquidity solutions, risk analytics, and advanced data platforms.

THE ROLE

KKR is looking to add a talented Lead Full Stack Engineer to its Technology team. Our agile team is responsible for delivering solutions to aid in driving our world class team through investment strategy, portfolio management and operations, providing differentiated outcomes to internal and external clients. You’ll work on a cloud-native tech stack of micro services leveraging Kubernetes and modern approaches to CI/CD. We primarily use React on the frontend as well as Python on the backend. As a Lead Engineer, you will help further the standard for engineering excellence not only on the team but across the entire organization.

  • Build solutions for high availability, observability, and maintainability
  • Provide support for all aspects of the part of the platform you own
Who We Are Looking For
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field (Engineering/Mathematics/Computer Science)
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and associated web development frameworks (e.g. React) with a proven track record of delivering high-quality web applications
  • Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language Python, Node.js, Go, or Java.
  • Experience in designing, delivering, and securing data-rich web applications
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
  • Interest in finance and ability to quickly learn new business concepts.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated curiosity, analytical skills, and resourcefulness with a proven record of ownership and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
