Job summary

SGS in Ireland is seeking an experienced QC Lead Analyst to join our Scientific In-sourcing team. You will lead a client-based team of QC analysts, oversee training, and maintain empowerment and accountability through strong leadership and coaching.

You will also engage in hands-on GMP testing of pharmaceutical substances, optimise methods and equipment, and drive improvements in quality, safety and throughput with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or equivalent (NFQ Level 7).
• 5+ years’ experience in analytical testing (HPLC, GC, UV, wet chemistry, dissolution).
• Familiarity with GMP and analytical technologies.
• Proven leadership and influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead a client-based team of QC analysts to meet client requirements and oversee training and development.
• Perform and supervise GMP-compliant testing of pharmaceutical substances.
• Lead investigations, data review, and ensure right-first-time results within required specifications.
• Maintain lab facilities, equipment, and safety/compliance standards.
