Job summary

Veolia Ireland is seeking a Mechanical Shift Technician in Clondalkin, Dublin. The role covers maintenance across fuel oil systems, gas distribution, turbines, boilers and Diesel generators, with 4 blocks of 12.25h day shifts followed by 4 blocks of 12.25h night shifts.

The technician will train across Predictive Maintenance and CMMS (Pemac), taking a lead role in issue resolution and continuous improvement while ensuring safety procedures are followed and offshore support is provided when

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset required for fault diagnosis and root-cause analysis.
• Six Sigma/Lean experience preferred to improve maintenance processes.
• Craft qualification in a mechanical discipline is required.
• Experience in energy conversion and distribution is advantageous.
• Technical writing skills for clear reporting and SOPs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day work with on-site shift technicians during morning changeovers.
• Be the point of contact for service providers and contractors.
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on plant equipment faults.
• Carry out planned preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure PMs are completed on time and accurately documented.
• Develop PMs, job plans and SOPs for plant equipment.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the team on complex issues.
