Job summary

IN2 Engineering in Ireland is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design across major projects, managing delivery from concept through to completion and shaping the technical direction of work.

You will work closely with clients, consultants and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes while supporting the growth of junior engineers. The role also offers progression and a culture that values high performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• 6+ years of consultancy experience
• Strong technical expertise across mechanical systems
• Proven experience leading projects and client relationships; Chartered or working towards Chartership desirable
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design across major projects
• Manage delivery including timelines, quality, and technical output
• Oversee calculations, specifications, and technical reviews
• Act as a key client contact and trusted advisor
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external consultants
• Mentor and develop junior engineers
• Drive sustainability and innovation within projects
