Job summary

Crane Co. Panametrics is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer in Shannon, Ireland.

You will lead design, verification, and integration of complex assemblies and sub-systems for industrial instrumentation, collaborating with Electrical, Firmware, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure robust product delivery. You will generate detailed documentation, BOMs, tolerances and GD&T, and drive design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of design and verification experience for industrial products.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks for part design, assemblies, drawings and reviews.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, materials, tolerances and manufacturing processes.
• GD&T experience with production drawings.
• Experience managing engineering changes using structured processes.
• Experience with mechanical products containing internal electronics (PCBs, cabling, thermal considerations).
• Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems such as SAP and ECTR.
• Excellent communicator in technical and non-technical settings.
• Demonstrated leadership across functions and with customers/suppliers.

Responsibilities
