Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment in Cork is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to head a small team and drive design activity across new and existing products.

You will lead product development from concept to production release, identify opportunities to improve performance, processes and manufacturing efficiency, and support packaging and tooling for scalable product introduction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Ideally 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience delivering products from concept through to manufacture.
• Strong 3D CAD capability (SolidWorks, Inventor or equivalent).
• Good understanding of plastics processing, metal stamping and related manufacturing technologies.

A Lead Mechanical Design Engineer is needed by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based electronics client. The person will lead a small team of mechanical engineers for all product design and development activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
• Ideally a minimum of 5+ years’ relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience delivering products from concept through to manufacture.
• Strong 3D CAD capability (SolidWorks, Inventor or equivalent).
• Good understanding of plastics processing, metal stamping and related manufacturing technologies.
• Role will be office based in Cork and candidates must be authorised to work in Ireland
