Job summary

AECOM is recruiting a Project Director to lead the risk management capability for major infrastructure projects across the UK, with a focus on senior stakeholder engagement and governance. You will manage a team of risk consultants and collaborate with internal and external partners to drive robust risk management.

Hybrid work options are available. You will apply ISO31000 and industry risk methods, and play a key role in bids, risk reports and decision making for high-value programmes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university or risk qualification (MOR, APM Risk, IRM).
• Proven experience in a multi-discipline project environment with risk management.
• Experience with industry risk tools and ISO31000-aligned processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as the risk management lead for high value projects and programmes.
• Engage with project teams to implement risk management effectively.
• Provide risk input to bids and proposals to win work.
• Perform risk assurance checks and produce risk reports for senior leaders.
• Coach and mentor staff in risk management best practice.
• Develop Risk Registers and Risk Management Plans.
