Job summary

Leap29 is seeking a proactive Lead HV Electrical Engineer for a 12-month renewable contract based in Ireland (Cork/Dublin). The role focuses on designing and managing advanced electrical systems for data centre projects worldwide, using 3D/BIM modelling and power supply design to ensure secure and reliable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Design and manage power supplies from 5V DC to 150kV substations.
• Lead critical security installations including fire protection and access control.
• Operate in live data centre environments with risk assessments, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical work packages across multiple projects to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Define project scope, design and management objectives, coordinating with contractors, vendors and regulators.
• Prepare technical specifications and project reports.
• Assist in project cost management, risk assessments and vendor evaluations.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships for ongoing growth.
• Represent the team in factory acceptance tests, site testing and commissioning activities.
