Job summary

MCS Group are working with a Dublin-based client on a major transformation programme. You will own the data architecture across a large-scale data and CIS implementation, while staying hands-on with solution design, Microsoft Fabric, and data migration activities.

You will lead data architects and engineers, define data models and governance, and drive migration planning and cutover. The role requires strong stakeholder management with senior client stakeholders in a fast-paced delivery

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Lead Data Architect on large-scale transformation programmes.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, data migration and data integration.
• Experience with CIS implementation and senior stakeholder management.

Lead Data Architect

Dublin | Day-rate contract | Initial 6 months | Long-term project
Start date: available to start by 5 October

MCS Group are working exclusively with a client on a major transformation programme. They are looking for a Lead Data Architect to take ownership of the data architecture across a large-scale data and CIS implementation.

This is a hands-on lead role. You will set the architecture and technical direction, while still being close to the detail across Microsoft Fabric, data migration and integration. You will also lead the wider data team and work closely with senior client stakeholders, technical delivery teams and implementation partners.

The role

• Lead the end-to-end data architecture across a complex transformation programme

• Remain hands-on across solution design, Microsoft Fabric and data migration activity

• Lead and manage data architects, engineers and wider delivery resource

• Define and oversee data models, integration patterns, governance and data quality

• Lead migration planning, mapping, validation and cutover activity

• Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders

• Work closely with delivery teams and third-party partners to keep the programme moving

What we are looking for

• Proven experience as a Lead Data Architect on large-scale transformation programmes

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric

• Extensive data migration and integration experience

• Previous CIS implementation experience

• Excellent senior client stakeholder management skills

• Comfortable leading a technical team while remaining close to the detail

• Dublin-based and available to start by 5 October

This is an initial six-month day-rate contract with a long-term programme of work available.
