Job summary

Archer Recruitment is assisting Dublin-based organisation to hire a Lead Cyber Security Engineer. The role is a highly technical, hands-on position within a dedicated cybersecurity function.

You will work with the CISO, owning security engineering initiatives, architecture, technical controls and ongoing posture improvement. Expect collaboration across IT and security teams in a hybrid Dublin City Centre setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT experience with strong cybersecurity engineering exposure.
• Strong background in systems administration or infrastructure.
• Hands-on Microsoft security experience.
• Good knowledge of networking, firewalls and secure architecture.
• Experience working in a regulated environment.
• Strong technical, analytical and communications skills.
• Experience with NIST, CIS, ISO27001, PowerShell, Python or relevant security certifications is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead security engineering projects end-to-end.
• Secure and harden AD, Group Policy, M365 and EntraID.
• Improve IAM, PAM, endpoint and Azure security.
• Support secure network design, segmentation and zero trust.
• Review new systems and projects from a security perspective.
• Work with MSSP/SOC detection, logging and incident response.
• Provide technical guidance across IT and security teams.
