Job summary

Farrans is seeking a General Foreperson to oversee multi-disciplinary works at Ballyboughal WWTP, Fingal. You will coordinate sections of works across medium to large projects, ensuring the programme and budget are met while maintaining high safety, quality, and environmental standards.

You will lead and develop diverse teams, liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and client teams, and manage method statements, permits, and daily records to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• CSCS gold card as a minimum with SSSTS as preferable qualifications.
• Proven collaborative leader experienced in delivering large scale projects such as water infrastructure or large-scale linear works.
• Experience leading multi-contractor and multi-discipline teams to achieve high standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sections of works on medium to large projects, ensuring alignment with programme and budget.
• Communicate across operation teams including suppliers, subcontractors, engineering, safety and client teams.
• Build and develop the team, monitor performance, and deliver briefings.
• Provide, monitor, and control labour, plant and materials to meet the programme.
• Manage subcontractors and direct workforce to achieve first-time quality and minimise rework.
• Assist engineering with method statements and programme outputs.
• Maintain accurate records, allocations, permits, inspections, and site diaries.
• Carry out regular safety and environmental inspections and act on findings.
• Record changes/variations and ensure transparency with project teams.
• Ad hoc duties as required.
