Job Description

Seeking an experienced Civils Foreperson for a wastewater/utilities project in North Dublin.

As one of our General Foreperson, you’ll deliver multi-discipled work aligned with Farrans strategies in logistics, production, design, assembly, SHEQ, reporting and digital creation.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day supervision of civils and utilities crews
  • Coordination of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Driving productivity and programme delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with QA procedures and safety standards
  • Managing permits, inspections, and daily records
  • Liaising with engineers, site management, and client representatives
  • Supporting temporary works implementation and safe systems of work
Preferred Candidate Profile
  • Ideally based along the Newry–Dublin corridor
  • Strong background in wastewater / utilities schemes, ideally Uisce Éireann projects
  • 8–15+ years’ civils experience
  • Proven experience managing multiple subcontractor crews
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Comfortable working within a larger project delivery team
Technical Experience Required
  • PE pipelaying along live/public roads with TM
  • Chamber construction along live/public roads with TM
  • Ductile iron pipelaying within live WWTP sites
  • HDD along minor roads with TM
  • Utilities coordination and reinstatement
  • TM interface on road-based works
  • Reinforced concrete works within WWTP sites
  • Temporary works associated with utilities and wastewater projects
  • Permit systems and safety documentation
  • QA documentation and inspections
