Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a driven Façade Supervisor to join our Cork-based client’s growing team. The role targets an experienced Bricklaying Foreman to lead bricklaying operatives, coordinate subcontractors and ensure masonry works meet design and safety standards on residential, commercial or industrial projects.

You will review drawings, plan labour and materials, monitor quality, and liaise with site management to keep programmes on track.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Bricklaying Foreman/Lead Bricklayer on residential, commercial, industrial or large-scale projects.
• Extensive practical knowledge of brickwork, blockwork and masonry construction.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specs and technical details.
• Experience managing site labour, subcontractors and material resources to hit programme targets.
• Solid understanding of quality control procedures in masonry construction.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate teams and liaise with site management and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coordinate bricklaying operatives and subcontractors to meet project programmes and safety standards.
• Plan daily/weekly activities, allocating labour, materials and equipment for productivity.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure masonry works meet design requirements.
• Carry out regular quality inspections of brickwork, blockwork and masonry installations.
• Coordinate material deliveries and storage to minimise waste and maintain progress.
• Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers, QS and other supervisors to resolve site issues.
• Ensure compliance with method statements, risk assessments and health & safety policies.
