Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Laboratory Technician Coordinator to support the QCL Laboratory Technician team, coordinating workloads and resources across departments to ensure high-quality laboratory services. This is a full-time, permanent role with a 39-hour week, Monday to Friday.

You will oversee schedules, monitor workloads, and collaborate with teams to identify support needs, ensuring procedures are followed with accuracy and compliant with GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills.
• Good understanding of laboratory processes and ability to communicate procedures clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and understand wider functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee laboratory technician schedules with cross-department coverage.
• Monitor workloads and allocate tasks to maintain efficient lab operations.
• Provide day-to-day coordination and resolve scheduling or resource challenges.
• Work with departmental teams to identify support requirements and align with priorities.
• Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and accuracy in laboratory activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and teamwork across the lab.

Job Description

This is a full time, permanent position. Working days, Monday – Friday, 39 hours per week.

As Laboratory Technician Coordinator, you will support the QCL Laboratory Technician team by coordinating workloads, managing resource allocation, and ensuring consistent support across departments to enable the efficient delivery of high-quality laboratory services.

Job Responsibilities that you be covering:

• You will coordinate and oversee laboratory technician schedules, ensuring adequate support and resource coverage across all departments.
• You will monitor workloads and assist with the effective allocation of tasks to maintain efficient laboratory operations and service delivery.
• You will support the Laboratory Technician team by providing day-to-day coordination, guidance, and resolving scheduling or resource challenges.
• You will work closely with departmental teams to identify support requirements and ensure activities are completed in line with operational priorities.
• You will help maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and accuracy across laboratory activities, ensuring procedures are followed at all times.
• You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the optimisation of processes, communication, and team effectiveness across the laboratory.

Qualifications

• You will hold a qualification in a relevant scientific discipline, or equivalent laboratory experience.
