Role Overview

The IT Systems Support Specialist will support the installation, validation, and maintenance of a wide range of computerized instrument systems in both laboratory and manufacturing environments. This role ensures compliance with cybersecurity, data integrity, lifecycle management, and applicable quality standards.

Educational Qualifications / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Equivalent industry experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries preferred
Key Skills & Preferences
  • Knowledge of GxP, data integrity, and computer system validation (CSV)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective decision-making abilities, and ability to handle repetitive tasks under time pressure
  • Experience with Active Directory, identity and access management, and SOP development
Key Responsibilities
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of IT functionality for analytical equipment to support installation, upgrade, validation, and maintenance
  • Draft and update IT-related SOPs and procedures
  • Execute computer system validation deliverables for both new and existing projects
  • Train and support users on proper use of computerized analytical equipment
  • Administer user accounts in Active Directory (AD) and other identity management systems
  • Maintain proper access controls using role-based security models
  • Manage AD environments, including user/group management, OUs, and Group Policies
  • Serve as a liaison between corporate IT teams and local business units
  • Keep systems and applications up-to-date with current supported versions
  • Actively participate in team meetings and audit activities
