Role Overview
The IT Systems Support Specialist will support the installation, validation, and maintenance of a wide range of computerized instrument systems in both laboratory and manufacturing environments. This role ensures compliance with cybersecurity, data integrity, lifecycle management, and applicable quality standards.
Educational Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Equivalent industry experience in lieu of degree will be considered
- Experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries preferred
Key Skills & Preferences
- Knowledge of GxP, data integrity, and computer system validation (CSV)
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective decision-making abilities, and ability to handle repetitive tasks under time pressure
- Experience with Active Directory, identity and access management, and SOP development
Key Responsibilities
- Gain in-depth knowledge of IT functionality for analytical equipment to support installation, upgrade, validation, and maintenance
- Draft and update IT-related SOPs and procedures
- Execute computer system validation deliverables for both new and existing projects
- Train and support users on proper use of computerized analytical equipment
- Administer user accounts in Active Directory (AD) and other identity management systems
- Maintain proper access controls using role-based security models
- Manage AD environments, including user/group management, OUs, and Group Policies
- Serve as a liaison between corporate IT teams and local business units
- Keep systems and applications up-to-date with current supported versions
- Actively participate in team meetings and audit activities
