Job summary

Apleona is seeking a Kitchen Porter to be based at our site in Donegal Town. The role covers Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, with responsibilities across daily kitchen hygiene, cleaning, stock control, and safe operations.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment, the ability to multitask, work under pressure, and communicate clearly with managers and kitchen staff. Flexibility to cover additional shifts may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Report for duty on time in accordance with the weekly rota.
• Maintain knowledge of food & beverage policies and HACCP standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Carry out all cleaning duties as per rota.
• Ensure crockery and utensils are stored on clean shelves.
• Maintain high cleanliness in storage areas.
• Inform Head Chef when cleaning equipment needs replacement and provide a detailed list.
• Familiarize with kitchen equipment and cleaning requirements.
• Report faulty equipment to management.
• Ensure health and safety in the kitchen area.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and grooming.
• Attend training courses as required by management.
• Perform duties promptly and courteously as instructed.
