Job summary

The Address Citywest is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team. You will maintain a high standard of hygiene across kitchen areas in line with hotel and hygiene regulations, while supporting a busy service environment.

Fluent English is essential, and you must have the right to work in Ireland. This on-site role requires punctuality, clean attire, and a proactive approach to safety and cleanliness in a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete HACCP checklist.
• Clean fridges, ovens, mixers and food stores.
• Pot wash and area surrounds.
• Rubbish skip areas.
• Hygiene in Kitchen areas and storage areas.
• All bins emptied, refuse sacks, boxes etc.
• Arrive for work, on time, in clean uniform as per hotel standard and wearing PPE as assigned by the company.
• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene (e.g. aprons/hats) during the shift.
• Carry out cleaning duties as per cleaning schedule and complete daily/weekly checklists.
• Cleaning of pots, pans, equipment, and store correctly.
• Report damaged equipment to head chef/manager on duty.
• Emptying bins when full or as requested.
• Thorough deep cleaning per schedule of kitchen/larder areas, equipment and storage areas.
• Wear protective clothing when handling hazardous materials.
• Attend training sessions/meetings as required.
• Report damaged/defective equipment to Senior Chef on duty.
• Ensure areas maintained in a safe, hygienic environment.
• Comply with policy on Fire, Health & Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene and Security.
• Be aware of responsibilities in Health and Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.

Job Description

• Areas of responsibility: To complete HACCP checklist
• Cleaning fridges, Ovens, Food Mixers & Food Stores.
• Pot wash and area surrounds.
• Rubbish skip areas
• Hygiene in Kitchen areas and storage areas.
• All bins emptied, refuse sacks, boxes etc.
• Arrive for work, ready to start on time, and wearing full clean uniform as per hotel standard in accordance with company grooming policy and wearing appropriate PPE as assigned by the company.
• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene (i.e. change aprons/hats etc as required) throughout the duty shift.
• Carry out cleaning duties as outlined in cleaning schedule and complete daily/weekly cleaning checklists for all cleaning tasks performed.
• Cleaning of pots, pans equipment etc, as required and ensure they are stored correctly and neatly.
• Report any damaged equipment to the head chef and/or manager on duty.
• Emptying of bins when full or as requested.
• Thorough deep cleaning as per schedule of kitchen/larder areas, equipment and storage areas.
• Wear relevant protective clothing provided when handling hazardous materials. (e.g. rubber gloves/face masks)
• Attend training sessions/meetings as required.
• To report any damaged / defective equipment to the Senior Chef on duty.
• To ensure that your areas of responsibility are maintained in a safe, hygienic, healthy and hazard free manner and environment.
• To comply with company policy regarding: Fire, Health & Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene and Security.
• To be aware of and understand your responsibilities outlined in the Health and Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.
